Kuchen Custard

Ingredients

  • 8 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 t vanilla
  • 3 pints whipping cream
  • Directions

    1. Beat eggs and sugar.
    2. Add cream and combine.
    3. Place in microwave on high heat for 4 minutes.
    4. Remove from microwave and stir.
    5. Repeat the above 2 until custard boils (thickens).
    6. Allow the custard to cool (ideally in the refrigerator overnight, covered with plastic wrap).

    Notes

  • Custard can be done a day ahead of time.
  • Makes enough for about 9 nine-inch kuchen.
